A fluvial plain situated near the village of Verdugo (parish of Taboadelo) which is located right next to the mouth of the St Vicenzo River, tributary of the Verdugo River to its right. In the smaller of these rivers there are two granite bridges of flat slope that receive the name of Ponte do Piornal and Ponte de Canedo, which are a little more than 1 km apart. Next to the river Verdugo, already in the alluvial soil in which the St Vicenzo River flows, there are two restored mills (located 135 m away) belonging to the type known as canal. Right next to the Mill of Abaixo, there are the remains of a walkway or steps that once made it possible to cross the greater river at this point.
